As part of the Erasmus+ Sport project @GFuture  – Green Tools for a Bright Future, a sports event was held on 18 May 2026 at Elementary School Samobor in Croatia.

The event brought together 32 participants in total, including 27 pupils aged 12–13 and 5 teachers, PE teachers and volunteers. Through joint sports activities, pupils had the opportunity to take part in a dynamic, supportive and inclusive environment that connected movement, learning and cooperation.

The GFuture project focuses on developing innovative approaches to children’s education by linking sport, green learning and outdoor activities. Special attention is given to the importance of physical activity in children’s development, the promotion of healthy habits, and the inclusion of children with disabilities in educational and sports activities.

The sports event in Samobor provided an opportunity to put the project’s values into practice: experiential learning, teamwork, active lifestyles and the creation of a positive school environment. Through play and movement, pupils strengthened cooperation, self-confidence and awareness of the importance of sport as part of everyday life.

Activities such as this contribute to the main objective of the GFuture project: creating a greener, healthier and more inclusive educational environment for children.
