Project overview
GREENPLAY – Green Sports for Every Playground is an Erasmus+ Sport project focused on promoting inclusive, accessible and environmentally sustainable sport activities for children with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities.
The project aims to increase the level of physical activity among children aged 6–11 by developing and promoting adapted green sports and games, while also supporting schools, sport clubs and other organisations in reducing the environmental impact of their sport and educational activities.
GREENPLAY brings together organisations from Slovenia, Croatia, Türkiye, Serbia and Greece, combining expertise in sport, education, inclusion, sustainability and work with children with disabilities.
About the project
GREENPLAY aims to increase the participation of children with disabilities in physical activity through inclusive, accessible and green sport activities. The project will develop practical tools, educational materials and methodologies that support both social inclusion and environmental sustainability in sport.
Through research, training activities, pilot sport events and an e-learning platform, GREENPLAY will help teachers, coaches, volunteers, youth workers and organisations create greener and more inclusive sport environments.
